Currently in Portland — September 7, 2023: A great outside day
Plus, announcing Currently Sponsorships — a new way to reach our local audience.
The weather, currently.
A partly cloudy Thursday, before sliding into a warm weekend.
I don’t know about y’all, but I’m really enjoying these cool mornings. And we’ll get another one on Thursday. We’ll wake up to a foggy morning (be careful if you’re on the road) and then have a partly to mostly sunny afternoon. The high will reach the mid-70s again before tipping into the 80s a bit this weekend, so if you’re a cool weather fan like me, Thursday is a great outdoor chore day, so you can avoid the weekend heat. It’s also time to start thinking about fall plantings, along with seeds and bulbs you want to get into the ground for spring growth!

One of my favorite organizations, Mutual Aid Disaster Relief, serves as a hub of mutual aid efforts focused on climate action in emergencies — like Hurricane Idalia. Find mutual aid network near you and join, or donate to support networks in Florida:
