Plus, on Indigenous Peoples Day, #landback for climate justice
The weather, currently.
Fall weather returns on Monday with plenty of rain.
Hope you enjoyed the warm, dry weekend, because the rain is back! Monday is kicking off a cooler, wetter week with temps that won’t make it out of the low 60s and a pretty steady drizzle all day. Monday night will be more of the same, with some fog added to the mix, too. Be careful on the roads, because it doesn’t seem to take more than a couple dry days for people to forget how to handle slippery roads.
What you need to know, currently.
One of the best climate strategies is returning stolen land to Indigenous people — this is what climate justice looks like.
This year, in advance of Indigenous Peoples Day, the NDN Collective has launched a Just Transition fund to help build technical capacity for frontline groups to continue the #landback fight.

Indigenous people already protect the vast majority of the world’s biodiversity, with technologies such as prescribed fire and responsible resource harvesting. It’s time for the rest of society to follow their lead.
