Currently in Portland — November 14th, 2023: Some welcome sunshine

Plus, last call for the Currently Weather Service pre-launch survey.

The weather, currently.

Some welcome sunshine this Tuesday

As a nice treat, we got more sun than expected on Monday, and Tuesday will bring even more. We’ll get a few clouds in the sky, but it’ll be a mostly sunny day—but still cold, with high temps sticking to the mid-50s. Overnight temps will drop to the low 40s and we may get some nighttime rain (leading into a likely wet Wednesday.) Overall, we’ve entered the endlessly changable PNW fall, where conditions are difficult to predict in advance. So keep layers on hand to adapt to whever the day throws at us!

What you need to know, currently.

In order for the new Currently Weather Service to live up to our hype, I want to ask for everyone’s pre-launch thoughts one last time.

This survey will be part of the baseline data we’ll use to build the weather service around the community’s needs and make sure it’s something people love to use. Completing the quick survey will also put you first in line to try out the new weather service yourself.

Could you take this two-minute survey right now to help us understand what your dream weather service might be like? Thank you so much to each of you who have already responded.

The launch version of the weather service dropping later this week is just the beginning. We want to continually improve this service in direct response to what people actually need and how people are using it. And, as you’ll quickly see, the suggestions folks have already made are fantastic. Keep ‘em comin’.
