Currently in Portland — November 10th, 2023: A wet weekend
Plus, an all-new Currently Weather Service launches next week!
The weather, currently.
Sliding into a wet weekend.
It might be a while before we see much sun again. Friday will be a mostly cloudy day, with a decent chance of sprinkles. Then Saturday and Sunday are more likely to have rain, plus some noticable breeze on Saturday. High temps will be in the low-to-mid-5os, and lows will dip to the mid-40s. I realize this weather won’t stop most Portlanders from hiking or enjoying other outdoor activities, but I’ll be staying inside! To me, this is the perfect weather for making soup, or cooking meals that require the oven to be on for an hour or more. It’s also a great time to break out the coziest blankets, light some candles, and curl up with a good book.
What you need to know, currently.
It’s my great honor to announce that we have a big announcement coming next week.
The new Currently Weather Service is designed to be a complete re-imagination of what a weather service can be in the era of climate change. For us, this launch is at the heart and soul of what we want to do and what we stand for: timely, accurate and easy to understand weather information for everyone, everywhere.
This is a project that’s been in development for months and we’re finally ready to share it with the world.
And I can’t wait to share it with you first, next week.
What you can do, currently.
Currently Sponsorships are short messages we co-write with you to plug your org, event, or climate-friendly business with Currently subscribers.
