The weather, currently.
It's going to be a beautiful Friday (and a beautiful weekend, too!)
It's going to be an absolutely beautiful Friday. I don't think I'd change a single thing about it—even if I had that power. And the temperature estimates for the weekend have backed off a bit too, so it should stick to pleasantly warm, rather than too darn hot. Friday will be mostly sunny with a few clouds in the sky. Temps will reach the mid-70s during the day, and cool to just below 50 overnight. Saturday and Sunday will both be sunny, too, with temps reaching just about 80, and then also cooling to around 50 overnight. This is the spring weather I've been dreaming of while we've flip-flopped between days that are too cold and days that are too hot. Finally, we're getting a few days that are just right. I hope you find ways to enjoy the next few days, whether you do so indoors or out.
What you need to know, currently.
A Tropical Depression has formed in the central Gulf of Mexico, and is expected to continue bringing heavy showers and thunderstorms to most of Florida over the coming few days.
Even though hurricane season just started on Thursday, this depression is the second cyclone of the season. A subtropical storm formed in the Atlantic Ocean in mid-January, but was only recognized months later after forecasters reexamined old weather maps. If this week’s cyclone, TD2, continues to strengthen, it would be given the name ‘Arlene’.
